Hannah Blum
Design Research Associate
Hannah joined LaFargue in 2024 as an intern focusing on user experience research, and has since become an integral part of the team as a Design Research Associate. Bringing a multidisciplinary background in information systems, human-centered research, and process analysis, she is able to uncover insights that drive strategic decision-making. With a deep curiosity for how people, systems, and strategy intersect, she has continued to help clients translate complex needs into actionable solutions that improve user experiences and organizational performance.
Hannah moved to Chicago in 2022, where she completed her Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction at DePaul University. Here, she explored how user research and interaction design shape meaningful experiences and developed skills in research methodologies. Prior to this, she attended Louisiana State University for her Bachelor’s in Information Systems & Decision Sciences and minor in Analytics, providing her with a strong foundation in systems analysis.
Before joining LaFargue, Hannah honed her analytical and research skills through a range of roles spanning configuration analysis and design research. During her time as a Configuration Analyst Intern at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, she supported cross-functional teams by synthesizing findings that informed reporting improvements and technology initiatives. Her collaborative approach and attention to detail enable her to bridge technical understanding with human insight, ensuring recommendations are both innovative and practical.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Hannah enjoys reading, vintage shopping, and contributing to her community in Chicago. She regularly volunteers with an organization that hosts birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness.
