Ashley Hooker

Ashley joined LaFargue in 2025, bringing a strong foundation in accounting, human resources, and operational management to help organizations run efficiently and effectively.

With expertise in payroll, accounts payable and receivable, HR processes, and policy development, Ashley creates systems that streamline operations, support team alignment, and drive organizational success. She combines a detail-oriented, process-driven approach with a collaborative mindset to deliver practical solutions that enhance both internal performance and organizational success.

Ashley began her career at the Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS), where she served from 2009 to 2018, ultimately becoming a Retirement Benefits Specialist. In this role, she focused on quality assurance and auditing, while also serving as the Lead Communications Representative and Business Expert for a major internal IT system upgrade. She also played a central role in implementing a new retirement plan resulting from a statewide system merger, organizing data across agencies, developing documentation, and creating guides to support staff through the transition. Ashley left LASERS in 2018 to focus on raising her family and pursuing entrepreneurship.

In 2014, she launched a part-time photography business serving families across Baton Rouge through birth, newborn, and family portrait work. Over the next decade, she balanced entrepreneurship with raising her children, gaining firsthand experience in small-business management and the realities of wearing many hats. In 2024, she transitioned her business into operations management for small businesses, combining her professional experience with her entrepreneurial skill set to help organizations implement structure, processes, and strategic practices.

Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University in 2009 and her Master of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2014.

Outside of her professional work, Ashley enjoys life with her husband, Charles, and their two sports-loving boys who keep the family busy with football, soccer, basketball, and baseball.
